Hello 2007

Why good morning 2007! Come in! Make yourself at home! We already threw that worthless 2006 out the back. He's probably living under a bridge now. You'll see him in the next Bum Fights DVD.

I've got big plans for you 2007. We've already seen that I've started the new blog. But I'm hoping that a few other things will fall into place.

I think I mentioned it before, but I'm hoping to start a little eBay business. My check book is a little lower than I would like it. And I need to get rid of some of this junk...er...I mean TREASURE that has been crowding my room. Hopefully I'll be doing some of that by the end of the month. I'll probably sell some of my baseball cards that I might be able to get money for (doubtful) and then some of the comic books that I'm sure to lose money on. I should just stick to stock investing. I do much better with that. But I get in these moods sometimes. I can't help it.

Also, as most of you know I'm hoping to go to graduate school in the fall. To get my MBA and whatnot. I already got rejected by Vanderbilt and I punished them by allowing Appalachian State to beat them in the San Juan Shootout. So now I'm looking at William & Mary and Wake Forest. I already have my two recommendations for William & Mary...I just need to write the essays. I still haven't contacted my other recommender for Wake Forest so I need to do that. And my other requested a resume. I hope he's not disappointed that there's not much on it. I've sort of delayed by all the things that happened in late May. And the fact that I live in Lenoir where apparently nobody is hiring. Although Google is seriously considering building a server farm in Lenoir. Since most of the furniture industry is gone or leaving those big energy grids are freed up. So we'll see how that goes. But anyway...I would like to do the MBA thing just to get out of the way because I would probably do it eventually, and I'd like to be doing something. It gets kind of exasperating just sitting around here with nothing to do and only odd jobs for the family.

Only three undefeated teams left in college basketball. UCLA, Oregon, and Clemson. Those last two are a bit random eh? I said UCLA would make the Final Four so I'm not surprised about them. But I think we'll have to see the Ducks and Tigers in conference play before we make any declarations about them. Wake Forest is 7-5 which is not nearly as bad as I thought they'd be...of course it's not really ACC play yet so I may be speaking too soon. And Appalachian State is 11-3. It looks like it will be them and Davidson for the Southern Conference Title this year. I think they play at Davidson the 20th and I might try to go to that game.

Ok that's it for now. Have a Happy Hangover!!
