I watched a video online the other day. It was a preview for Fantastic Four 2 hosted by Jessica Alba. At one point, she asked the director what fans could look forward to in the sequel. He responded with "Jessica in that outfit". And then she playfully slapped him. The sad thing was he probably wasn't joking. That might have been the only redeeming feature from the first one.
Bobby Knight is going for the all time wins record again this time against New Mexico. I think he'll get it this time and they're up 10-4 at the moment. I used to hate Bobby Knight, but i've grown to like him a little bit. I think it was for the best that him and Indiana cut ties when they did. It had gotten toxic for both sides (I'm addicted to you and...I'll shut up).
Wake Forest against Louisville in the Orange Bowl tomorrow!!! I think Wake will lose but I've been saying that all year. And I've only been right twice. Go Deacs!
I was disappointed in myself last night. I had heard a Twilight Zone marathon was playing but I missed the majority of it because I forgot. So I missed of the best TV shows of all time because I was mainly working on this new blog. What a waste of time right?
And dammit! I just realized I missed The Thing From Another World earlier this morning. The remake is one of my favorite horror movies and I've always wanted to see the original.
Now Texas Tech is up 20-9. Looking good early for The General. 22-9.
It's kind of boring these holidays. I could check my stocks periodically but due to the New Year and Gerald's Ford death, there won't be any trading until Wednesday. This is the longest break since 9/11. Hard to believe huh? I had another pretty good year. I think the major indices although it was harder to calculate because doubled my portfolio in the summer when I sent in some more money. I'll probably sell CDW this week. They basically sell computers and other equipment to customers, I think mostly business-to-business(B2B). And I may eventually sell Yahoo. I've been a little disappointed in them. And now that I'm blogging through Google, using their advertising, etc., it seems a little odd for me to continue owning stock in them. But I ain't buying Google stock. It seems ridiculously overrated. Of course I said that at $100. It's at $460.48 now. What do I know?
My most recent purchase was Deltathree. They're currently my favorite stock I've found. They're one of these Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) companies. They're extremely small though. Nowhere near the size of Vonage for example. Of course, Vonage is throwing away money like a drunk a strip club, while Deltathree is actually making a profit, at least at this moment. So hopefully they'll do well and won't get crowded by the big players. Someone told me the other day that the AT&T-Bellsouth merger would be bad news because that removes the need for a smaller company like Deltathree. But that's the risk you take with smaller companies that can be bullied about. Netflix could have been bullied about but Blockbuster is stupid and so I more than quadrupled my money in more than a year. And CNS (which makes the nasal strips) was very dependent on Wal-Mart but I did well with them and should have done better but I sold before they were bought out by GlaxoSmithKline. They seem to have a good partnership with Verizon so maybe they'll buy Deltathree.
11 of the top 20 videos on YouTube have titles of Saddam Execution or Saddam death. That's pretty sick.
30-13 Texas Tech.
