Only one championship game today so here's my pick.
Missouri Valley: Southern Illinois vs Creighton: It's time for the title game of the best mid-major in the country. They probably won't be getting four teams in like last year but three is a possibility. These two are probably both in no matter what. Southern Illinois has been a lock for weeks and looks to get anywhere from a #2 to a #4 seed. Creighton has been on the bubble for awhile but I've got to think that a 2nd place finish in the conference with a blowout win over #3 Missouri State yesterday gets them in. So who wins this game that's most likely only for seeding purposes? I'm staying with the So. Illinois Salukis who are one of the hottest teams in the country having won 12 straight. This should be a low scoring slugfest and although Creighton is a good team, Southern Illinois has looked better and their defense is among the best in the country. Don't expect a blowout and I suspect this could need overtime. Southern Illinois 63 Creighton 62
