Penultimate day of conference championships

I promise I'll post more after Selection Sunday. Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

America East: Vermont vs Albany: Vermont has given us Ben & Jerry's and Phish. What has Albany given us? Not a damn thing! Vermont 73 Albany 69

Atlantic-10: George Washington vs Rhode Island:
Bad news for bubble teams such as Appalachian. Xavier might be a lock in this conference and after Rhode Island beat them, there's a chance this could be a two bid conference. After Rhode Island's big upset I'm calling letdown. George Washington 76 Rhode Island 72

Big East: Georgetown vs Pittsburgh:
Pittsburgh is a pretty good team. But I've been most impressed with Georgetown out of the Big East this year. If any Big East team can win the national title, it's the Hoyas. I'll stick with them. Georgetown 69 Pittsburgh 66

Big West: Long Beach State vs Cal Poly:
I was gonna go with the mighty UC Irvine Anteaters. Sadly Long Beach State beat them. Carry the torch Long Beach! Long Beach State 81 Cal Poly 78

Conference USA: Memphis vs Houston:
It's one of the ten best teams in the country vs...Houston. Seriously, Memphis is clearly the class of this conference. They didn't lose a conference game all season. In fact I don't think they lost one last year either. They have the longest winning streak in the country. Memphis should win this pretty easily. The margin I'm predicting may actually be too conservative. Memphis 80 Houston 62

MAC: Akron vs Miami (Ohio):
The MAC always seems to be a pretty competitive conference. Akron looks like the best team though. They are currently 26-6. Miami is 17-14. Akron 67 Miami (Ohio ) 61

MEAC: Delaware State vs Florida A&M:
One of the two worst conferences in the country, but someone has to get a bid. I favor Delaware State because they won the conference by 4 games. Also I like their style after seeing them give Duke all they could handle a couple of years ago in the tournament. Delaware State 71 Florida A&M 66

Mountain West: BYU vs UNLV:
Both teams are pretty equal and are likely locks for the NCAAs so this game is just for seeding and conference bragging rights. It's a tough choice but since the game is in Vegas, I'll give the edge to UNLV. UNLV 75 BYU 71

Pac-10: USC vs Oregon:
Not the Pac-10 title game everyone was predicting. But that's why they play the games. I don't know much about most of the Pac-10 except UCLA. I notice the game is Los Angeles though. Which gives USC an edge in my book. USC 74 Oregon 70

SWAC: Mississippi Valley State vs Jackson State:
The other member of one of the two worst conferences in the country. Miss. Valley State won the conference so let's go with them. Mississippi Valley State 66 Jackson State 65

WAC: New Mexico State vs Utah State:
This was a one bid conference until Nevada lost. More bad news for the bubble including Appalachian. Utah State pulled the upset, but I think it's New Mexico State that capitalizes. New Mexico State 75 Utah State 71
