Viacom took down one of my favorite videos from YouTube. Took them long enough. I'm sure it will be back up eventually. Of course the funny thing about the whole situation is...
1. If I wanted to watch this video anyway, I couldn't on MTV or any of Viacom's properties. They'd rather find the next Menudo or put shows on where parents choose new boyfriends for their daughter.
2. If I decide to actually "spend money" to listen to the band I was listening to, Viacom isn't getting any of the money. The album with the song I was listening to is done by EMI. So your strategy makes a great deal of sense Viacom.
Viacom stock price since they ordered the clips to come down? Down 3.1%
