Barbaro took a turn for the worse today. Very sad. But that's not the reason for the horse-racing metaphor.
No, I've completed three of my five essays. The Wake Forest essays are done. Now I just need to nudge one of my references along (nudge nudge) and that will be done not counting the interview. Still have two more William & Mary essays to do but fortunately my references are done. So I'm pretty much back on schedule. I can't wait till I'm done with this. Hopefully I'll go at least 1 for 3. We'll have to wait.
